The Porsche Carrera Cup is the fastest single-make GT championship in the UK, and there are many similar championships worldwide. The pinnacle is the Porsche Supercup, which supports the European rounds of the Formula 1 World Championship. Porsche’s slogan, “Driven By Dreams”, encourages passionate dreamers to believe in themselves and make their dreams come true. Porsche requested a film to showcase their brand messaging of fulfilling dreams in a release film for their new GT Cup car.
We aimed to showcase the global nature of the various Carrera Cups by highlighting some of the iconic worldwide circuits the car would compete on while using a VO to emphasize Porsche’s aspirations. We did this by using special effects to bring to life a number of the race tracks lurking within the car’s camouflaged livery whilst it hid away in a pit garage. Once the car burst into the light and the livery changed, we added a fast-paced track sequence to thrill the audience with Porsche speed and sound.
The film premiered at the Porsche Night of Champions, a prestigious event in Stuttgart held at the end of the motor racing season. Our film unveiled the new GT Cup to an audience keen to get behind the wheel of the new car for the following year’s competition
