Porsche has a long history of being an iconic brand enjoyed by enthusiasts. As a result, 70% of Porsches ever built are still on the road today, which clearly demonstrates the love for the brand. Porsche helps to make this possible by manufacturing a vast range of parts for their classic cars, as well as new equipment such as modern audio players, which can be added to their classic car collection.
They wanted to showcase their products in an authentic, on-brand way that would resonate with their most loyal customers and ideal target audience. This film introduces Frank Cassidy, who is a firm advocate of using official Porsche components to restore classic Porsches.
The approach involved creating a nostalgic atmosphere by setting the scene and providing a glimpse into Frank’s life and working environment. To enhance the nostalgic tone, we introduced an old-school grainy texture. Fast-paced sequences were filmed to highlight the speed of the cars. The film showcases Frank’s personality and his belief that cars are precious and have their own traits and imperfections that should be well taken care of.
This film was a firm hit with Porsche and classic Porsche fans. It was nominated for Best Documentary Short at the 2022 International Motor Film Awards.
